SoCal to NoCal Roadtrip

Magic sunshine and perfect driving partners. We left LA a bit later than expected, but managed to make some incredible stops on the way to San Francisco. First was the quiet heat of Cachuma Lake, then a quick stop in Santa Barbra for picnic items before driving on to Pismo Beach for lunch. We had time to play around on the Gibralter of the Pacific (Morro Bay) before the sunset and we had to cruise through the dark before arriving in Frisco for dinner.

Hollywood: Music, Burgers, Beers and Donuts

The beautiful people really are here - good friends and musicians. Oh, and really good food. Brian got to be with Matt and Joe in the studio and they made some really good music. We had our first In & Out  drive-thru experience - animal style. That was just the appetizer before we headed to the real Animal where we had incredible (if not small) poutine with lovely Emily. The night ended with lots of strong beer and a quick trip to the bakery counter at Canter's.

Beverly Hills and Culver City

Waiting for Roo as she meets with modeling agencies
A very LA lunch - greens and lentils
URTH Cafe
Tea Time at the Culver Hotel
The Culver Hotel - a 1924 beauty that was allegedly owned by Charlie Chaplin and then John Wayne. Also, the cast of the Wizard of Oz stayed here during filming in 1939
The Culver Hotel - the prettiest bathroom I ever did see...
