Pam Rules

Pam and Peter came to London for a family wedding and thankfully, they had some time to see us. We decided to go the very traditional route and took them to dinner at Rules Restaurant. Now, Rules happens to be just two blocks from our flat AND it is the oldest restaurant in London (c. 1798). We had been looking for an important reason to try the place and this was the perfect time.

Peter had the fish & chips, Brian had short ribs, Pam had duck and I had a steak and kidney pie. We split the stickey toffee pudding and Margaret Thatcher stared at us THE ENTIRE TIME.

The Natural History Museum

We battled through crowds of children to see the Natural History Museum's butterflies, birds and beautiful architecture. Michelle loved the butterflies, the poor Dodo bird was a highlight for me, and Brian is still awed by the size of a blue whale - the scariest creature in the universe.
