Matt & Aleks in London!

We are too lucky. Matt and Aleks came to visit us! The shiny newlyweds were sweet and lovely and funny and so much fun to hang around town with. On their first night, the jet-lagged Californians rallied and we headed to Great Queen Street for dinner. The server had to explain all of the gamey things, but it was delicious and we finished our roast boar just in time to run full speed to the
Another night, another amazing show. On Thursday we went to Wembley to see Sigur Ros. The show was insane and Brian got his mind blown by Popplagio - again.

On Friday we hit the Southbank Christmas Market. We walked east along the Thames and two mulled wines later we were at the the Tate Modern, where Matt contributed his own fine painting to the collection. We took a cab to meet Brian's coworkers for a pub drink and then headed to Artisan where MALEKS introduced us to Rioja, we ate corn dogs and created a billion dollar app idea.

Ok. We started Saturday with the most epic views of the city while riding the London Eye. We took a very long walk past Big Ben and through Hyde Park and ended up at the best pub (The Victoria) for the best tiny bangers in the best tiny pot. After braving a cold Portobello Road Market we were back in Covent Garden for fresh, un-pasteurized Guinness at the Coach & Horses.

The last day was a pilgrimage to Abbey Road Studios, dinner and dessert and a second billion dollar app created at Pizza East, a walk through Shoreditch for street art and a Richard Serra sculpture then a grand finale cocktail crawl ending at the creepy cool Cellar Door
